Scout hike in Giant Forest

Wow. Just amazing. If there's one thing in California I would want to see it's those trees.

Wow such awesome trees! With retirement getting close,this is giving me fresh focus for the things I gots to do Bucket List! LOL My second class map/compass trip was in the woods above my Grandfathers pasture in N.C. and I thought I was Daniel Boone!
 
I'm going to have to see that in person sometime. Very cool place, great pictures!

Yes, it is snow. There were a few patches here and there left over from the storm that went through a couple days ago.

I could only imagine what standing next to those trees must be like. Someday...

Had to look at this to remember what earth looks like without snow.....i'm ready for spring!
 
Great pics. I have never felt smaller than when walking amongst those trees, they are just amazing.
 
i love the giant redwoods.

every time i see them i just think "That is absolutely nuts" involuntarily....

it's a pleasure to camp amongst them.
