Just wanted to share a few pictures of Jakes knife he let me play with.

Nice lookin chopper there John! JeffH makes a killer sheath too.

This one is right about 11" overall, with a 6" blade of 3/16" O1. It actually started out when Jake wanted a 6" HD Kephart. As you can see, Jake had a few changes in mind before it was done, I think they were good ones. All of the credit for this one goes to Jake, I just made it happen, and I really liked the end product. I can just picture it in a nice cocobolo!

BTW - Nice pics bear

Great pics Ruben......Im glad your enjoying it. How bout the balance on it? Handles well huh? Looks bigger then it feels in hand. JeffH makes great Kydex. Fit is great. I set up the tec lock for horizontal carry. It was pretty comfy like that on the hike I went on with it.

So Ruben, What are your thoughts of the design? Any changes you would make? How was its performance for you?

Jake,
First of all I really want to thank you for letting me bang your blade around. Not too many people would do that with their gear, cars or girls for that matter. I think it is a great addition to the project.

Balance is right around where the index finger naturally goes. I too think it looks like a tactical keppy, if there ever was one. I found function in the strange finger swell at the bottom, especially when chopping. That is about all I can say for now. John makes a good hefty blade. Jeff H is in my opinion a master at kydex period!

Well said...... I agree bro. That handle really lends to its chopping ability.

No problem dude...I love to share em. I like seeing my blades get some use with other people, and get some traveling in....... This one is on a wonderfull pilgrimage.

It looks like the product of selective breeding between a Laconico Explorer and a JK Kephart. I dig it.

That is what I was thinking and I have to agree that it is one bad looking chopper. Love the fact that it is O1!!!:D
