Scrao Yard Yard Hook opinions needed

Hello all,
I have been considering a Yard Hook for a heavy duty use knife and would like to have some opinions regarding how it handles etc. I presume the now discontinued 77 steel is just as good as the 101 for all practical purposes? I have smaller hands and am wondering how the handle would work for me. I have a Ratmandu and find the handle is absolute maximum for my hands.
The Yard Hook would be a little larger blade wise, which I could use.

I had one...or maybe it's sister the yard guard. It was an absolute tank of a knife. The handle shape is quite a bit different than the RMD, so it's hard to compare. I let mine go after I got a Camp Tramp which I liked more.

Its a beast of a knife with a cool design, very thick blade, and nice blade shape.

I think it would make a nice chopper.

They are pretty hard to find now days.

Hey Billy. You sold me a Yard Hook like almost ten years ago. I actually ended up giving it to a girl I was dating. Looking back....I wish I still had the knife.

Nah. We dated for about a year, and parted friends. I still see her around. When we first met I showed her the Yard Hook, and she loved it. Couldn't put it down. I eventually gave it to her for a birthday present. Last I heard she still has it.
