Scrap Yard Dog Father - Performance Pics!

Visually, it looks very much like a Battlerat (same length) but with a squarish finger choil. Same handle. Black crinkle finish. Can't say anything about different options.

That is probably a bit too demanding of a task, but I can see some serious wood cutting time in the future.

It's not to demanding for me. I'm going to take it on. Looks like this might be a long video though.:D

Thanks HoB. Any mention of the price? Thanks again.

I am probably the last person to answer this, but taking a wild guess from the prices of the Scrapper here: http://www.scrapyardknives.com/knives.htm
I would think it will be very competitively priced, my guess would be $139 (+/- $10). THIS IS A GUESS (just in case someone is not reading my post carefully).

Got one too, wonder how many are going to be available in this batch.

Just ordered one. Can't wait to try it out. The price is excellent for what the knife can do.

Given your testing protocol, I agree. You seem to do a very good job at recording data and using knives in severe yet realistic way.

Yeah, you will lock it in a vise or break it off camera;) But as others have mentioned you need to standardize your tests. With so many variables your videos are too long and not worth much when you cut a chair with one knife and a 4x4 with another. Not knocking you but I think you may soon realize the time, effort, and possibly money you are putting into these tests are not worth it. Carry on. You bought your FBM before I bought my last one by at least a week. You said 8-12 weeks for delivery. I have had mine for two weeks.

There is a reason why my Battle Mistress is taking longer.Believe what you want ?

I really like the toughness, from what I've seen, of the DogFather. Here is my only issue, and it is the same qualm I have with the BM and BR. The tip just looks too squar-ish for good penetration. Am I wrong? I know I'm gonna' catch total Hell for this next comment, but I wish they would do a production blade with a profile similar to the Ka-Bar Heavy Bowie, a BK&T, or even *gulp* the CS Trailmaster.

You can get them with a penetrator tip which solves the penetration issue.

As for shape, well I like the shape as it is a classic busse design.

Oh yea, btw....

The knife looks great. Maybe Dan could comment whether or not the blade is fully hardened, or if it is differentially hardened. (I'd guess fully hardened)

Thanks
Luke
