Scrap Yard site is UP!!!

Hey... these are lookin cool! Nice prices! Hmmmm...give me a sec...I'm thinking here... ouch!

Anyone know what the width is on the 6 and if that width is going to be the same for the 7 & 9 ??? Yeah....still thinking! ;)

excllent! only if i had more money to spend:P

does this mean that a scrap yard knives forum is comming to blade forums as well?

Gorgeous knife shame only Americans and Canadians (and previous Busse customers) can order them and not us poor Europeans! Kinda hope the change that rule soon!!

WOOHOO I had to change browser's but I am IN!!!!!

Now I gotta sell some leather for a new knife purchase...That thing looks sweet!!!!

ordered my scrapper 6 and sheath too! i hope the le's are still around come payday!

O.k I have to go to an Indian Guide meeting right now for my daughter. But if there is anything left tonight, "It's Mine"! ;)

I hope there is some left by the time I can get an order sorted out. Hopefully they will get back to me soon.

I'm going to say this with as much care and honor as I can but, just at a glance, it seems that SRKW has moved up a slot to a Busse "B" grade (with Micarta handles and custom maker colaborations) and been replaced with SYKC which is possibly an equal or even better knife supplier than SRKW originally started out to be. Hate me for saying what I really think but am I that far off? I purchased one of the LE Dumpmaster specials or whatever it was called at the Blade show for the same reason I purchased my first SRKW knife, form, function and realistic pricing. The CG model at $89 (including the sheath at the show) is on the money for a high performance user that is within reach of a working man's budget. I thought for a moment that SRKW was leaving us behind with the new knife line but I see that there is always someone to fill the shoes of a quality knifemaker with a promise of value and performance.

P.S. I broke my LE Dumpmaster in testing when I drove it into a 24w96 I beam with an impact hammer and ran into it with a loaded dump truck. You just can't get nuwcler toughness from heat treated laminated refrigerator door blades anymore.

I have used sveral knives in S7. I will think that after trying a S7 knife at $90 there will be many people rethinking future knife buys including buying INFI at many times the low price of Scrap Yard Knives. People are going to love it.

The Scrap Yard will be no doubt good bang for the buck however it aint no BUSSE. Infi still stands at the top of the game.

Did not say it was the same as a Busse. Having tried both steels myself I think alot of people will be suprised with how well S7 performs. I hope everyone gives it a try, for the price it is a no brainer.

Thanks for the head up, 360joules:thumbup:

Lol i know I am still buzzing from the FBM's. The guys/gals in Busse, SRKW, and SYKC are some SMART people. They saw the need for a lower cost less frills High performace knife and they filled it. I will still be buying infi, and some SR101 but I see myself having MANY SYKC. Why? Because I can afford them hahaha. During the tough times when I dont have 3-400 dollars I can just step on down to the scrapyard and drop 1-200 dollars(less for the current one) and feed the need. I think mhawg was on the money. Thanks Jerry an all for givin us another way to get your toys:D

As per mhawg's comments-

X2. The Scrapyard site is exactly what the Swamprat site used to be in terms of layout, even the wording in most sections. I'm curious to see how Swamprat and Busse develope now. Would still like to see a "error" run of INFI somewhere in the rat or yard line with the R-c handles. Anything hiding in the dumpsters that might make this possible?

Anyone know their contact info? I ordered a S6LE and need to send them a check for it. I saw the PO box but want a confirmation of where payments should be sent before I send it out. No phone yet? lol
