Scrapivore Scales?

If this actually happens, I may have and excuse to buy a scrapivore finally...:D

On a side note, can someone educate me on the scrapivore and what makes it so great?

Check out my review on the SCRAPIVORE CG -- just click on my signature -- it'll explain why ;)

A few questions come to mind for everyone interested.

What material would we all want used?
What color(s) would we want of said material (if color is even applicable)?
How much of the handle would they cover?
And finally, How thick would we want them?

That is, if we can get some made...

As long as you stay with the regular sheath colors ( black, brown etc.)
Material is whatever the maker feels at ease using ... Wood, micarta... No matter, as long as it's solid.
The handle length is the tricky part. Should it cover the pry bar end? Some find it digs in their palm... Personally I'd rather it does not interfere with the pry bar end. On the other end (blade), the handle will most probably interfere with whatever sheath one has....it would be great If you can make it that the knife is still useable with a Buy Brown sheath. But that's just me :)
Thickness? Just make it as thick as what you find on a Esee Izula 2....

1/8" thick of Busse treated SR101 at 62-64Rc makes a great cutter.

Speaking of Izulas, I have my Scrapivore in a leftover Izula kydex sheath and it fits great in there.

...cool ! I've got an Izula 2 in my car's emergency bag..... Nice to know you can switch things around:thumbup:

I should clarify here a bit, the sheath pictured above is a kydex one for an Izula but the design makes it a tighter fit than the standard plastic Izula sheath would be. The kydex wraps around the the shoulder on the Scrapivore and has to separate a bit to go in/out. The Scrapivore will fit in the plastic sheath but it isn't very secure in there. The plastic one doesn't close around the Scrapivore.

I had a whole bunch of screws and barrels that I ended up giving away, as I've found I prefer the tube rivets. I get the 1/4" stainless tube for free, and with a drill and the flaring dies it is really easy to install and remove the rivets.
