Are they effective? IMO, they are all too thick behind the edge to act like machetes, especially with the factory grind. If you thin down the thick shoulder, that helps. But OTOH you can chop down trees with them, not something you can say about most swords sold these days.

Funny you should say that, someone posted that same comment on the Sword forum after handling the Gladius at Blade. He added that many of the current sword reproductions do not handle like real swords did and should.

I miss the old flyers Jerry use to give out with his old A2 knives and the test he used to do at the shows. I wonder if they can do some more of these vids with the Gladius and AK.. man, if scrap yard metal can do this...imagine what INFI can do.. amazing sales vid.. Cold steel sends out a dVd every once in a while of all their blades cutting through sides of beef, etc... Can we get a BUSSE DVD made??

We need more vids like this, I think. I've been strong in resisting the Dog sword, but this ain't helpin'. However, my wife and I are currently enrolled in Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. We're fighting, I mean talking, more. The cash flow plan is due tomorrow and I don't think this is going to make the cut, no pun intended:grumpy:

Do have a couple of questions:
Beef, when does the caterpillar on your upper lip turn into a butterfly Laura, go ahead and get a couple of blank restraining orders. If the freeze frame water bottle shot doesn't generate at least a couple of stalkers, I'll be surprised. Dan, keep up the great work. I love the variety of handle colors.

Swords are basically just a fun machete to have and to enjoy (Destructive tests, etc.) in the collection. Use? Whatever you want AK47 stands for American Kensai 47cm length. Many people wanted the old original American Kensai (by Busse years ago) to make a reappearance and so they obliged. Scrapizashi is a word play from Scrap Yard Knives and Wakizashi. The AK47's were originally around $587 base price IIRC and no clue on the Scrapizashi. The AK47's are sick and thus fetch a premium since its been a couple years since their release. Hope this helps and others can correct/clarify further

I got my scrapi yesterday. No idea what I will use it for. I live in an apt in the city. I can't even take the thing outside. It's the genius of Busse's marketing; if I don't get it now, I might never get it for the same price. If I change my mind there will be a good market to take it off my hands.
