They are similar but there are still differences. And I agree with others, many people want those old designs and these basic lines are giving people who are new to Bussekin a chance with out paying the inflated price the BST demand.

Does anyone know if the handle is the same as the 511 (which is a tad small for me) or the larger version? On spec's, it looks to be 1/2" longer, but I won't pull the trigger without more info there...

The handle is the bigger sized one. You can see that really easily here in the thread below, showing them all side by side. Based on 12.5 inches overall minus the 7 3/8 inch blade, the handle is a little over 5 inches. Perfect if you ask me because my grip is 4.5"s, that will leave some room for comfort, as the 511 was too small for me as well.

...none of them are in the hands of any makers yet (end users) and they are not likley to be before Christmas/January I would suspect. Once they are out there are a few "Usual Suspects" here (alwezke, By Brown, Bussecrazed, Armorall, Rainwalker etc etc) who will no doubt make them available in short order.

I'm gonna throw mine in a spare spec ops sheath I've got, should fit ok and will hopefully be an ideal setup for screwing around with
