With my experiences satin finish scratches the easiest.
In the right light you can see every single small scratch on the finish.
In normal ambient light, you probably will not see any minor scratches
kydex will scratch the finish..
It more often foreign matter embedded in the sheath material that does the marring of the finish. If you get grit stuck in you leather, it will alter the finish on a satin blade. Kydex is probably more susceptible to this because of the tolerances involved with a closely molded sheath. (I agree with Ducci, except what he did to that poor GW was wrong. )
