Scratch or Crack

Hello guys,

as I said already, I want to thank you for the participation on my problem.

Are there any other opinions? Today I checked the scratch/crack under microscope, it was shiny, and the line interrupted. Unfortunately there was no chance of taking a picture. I will try to get a picture under higher magnification during the next days.

Best regards,
Oliver

If it is 750 miles long and you live in California, what you're seeing could be the San Andreas Fault. That means you could be carrying a potential magnitude 7 earthquake in your pocket. What's more, it could potentially cause 200 billion dollars worth of damage if the next tectonic event is "the big one."

Then again, it could just be a scratch.

Hello all,

I was able to check under 100x magnification.

Nothing but a scratch:eek::cool::p

Now I can enjoy my grail knife and order some custom handles:D

Hello folks,

does anyone have new opinions after seeing the magnification pics?

I am not sure about the smaller scratches on picture 3 and 4.

Thanks and BR Oliver

I'm pretty sure you are good to go.
Stop worrying, put it in your pocket, and enjoy the hell out of it.
It's a Benchmade after all. They have probably the best warranty service in the industry.
Worse comes to worst you can just send it to them for a new blade. They do that too. $30 US even if it's not a warranty claim (You might even get a steel upgrade).
