It is. It is. I'm going to give up on even the hand work on this scandi grind and drink.

Was relatively cool here today. I got a little forging done in the morning before it got hot in the non-insulated steel box I call a shop right now.

Once it cooled off I gathered some mulberries (we're going to try for a mulberry liquor this year and maybe some more jam if there's enough...) and then tested the new yard knife on some unruly bits of treeline. The edge seemed to hold up well to a lot of chopping, but the no-epoxy pinned-only handle loosened just SLIGHTLY. I'll knock the pin out and add some epoxy tomorrow. I also think I need to thin the edge out just a bit more. This is the first in a long line of yard knives that will be test mules for my JS test knife. Once I get the next one finished, this one will get bent. Using a big knife sure makes yard work fun

I've been doing epoxy and then hand peening unglued pins on a lot of mine lately. works well and it's cool! I also think it's nice to have 2 things going on holding the scales on the tang.

I've only done 3 stick tangs so far, and one had a pin and expoy, one had no expoxy and a peened end - but it's a little gent's desk knife. the othger has epox, and a peend end and should last forever.

This one's a hidden tang. I don't do a whole lot of full-tang knives. I'm not sure why, they take me less time, but I just really like hidden and stick tangs....
