I tightened the attachment/adjustment screw (kydex for GB) a while ago to set the Kydex holster at the desired angle. Now, the rubber gasket is split and the screw and nut are inseparable - if I try to loosen the screw for re-adjustment, the nut and kydex just move along with every turn of the screw. Is there a way to unlock the screw from the nut without sawing through the screw? Can I just send it in for repair? Thanks in advance.

try using a piece of rubber or something to press on the "female" while turning the screw out with a driver. I've had chicago screws do this to me and used one of those rubber jar openers to hold the base still while backing out the screw. Good luck.

Bill,

Thanks for the tip. I tried it and a few other things with no luck. The problem is that the nut is inside the kydex holster, so I cannot put any direct vertical pressure on it, nor can I use pliers to hold the nut stationary.

I'll just send it in. Thanks Duane.
