Screw Together 110

tiguy, thanks for this photo of the parts. They didn't want to cut threads into the frame so they gave it brass sleeves for the handles. Were BCCI knives made with a T6 frame as well? DM

It makes sense to me that a low volume knife would be CNC machined to avoid the cost of a molding die, and 6061 T6 would work in that situation. I can only guess because I am not privy to the trade secrets. The best part of the BCCI design (IMO) is the T-nut pivot set. The T-nut is immobilized with an octagonal head sitting in an octagonal recess in the bolster. The tail is held together with 2 slabbed T-nuts which key into D holes in the spring holder.

Thanks for giving us the scoop. I was wondering that myself. Now my question is, are the bolsters and frame all one piece. (Stupid question I'm sure but just curious)
Yes, The full handle (bolsters and frame) is machined as one piece.

lol.. I should read the full thread first. Thanks TIguy.

Nah where's the fun in that.:D you could probably say anything remotely about the topic and someone would find it relevant.
