Price Drop - $800
Handmade knife and scrimshaw by Stacy E. Apelt.
The knife has a damascus blade of 1095 and 1084. The tooth is from a sperm whale. It is old, probably late 1800's. The one side has a swimming mother humpback with her calf swimming between her arms. The other side has a sounding whale. The OAL is 9.5", blade height 1.65", and the tooth part is 3.5"X1.65". Ebony bolsters.
$950 shipped withing the USA. Includes a padded pouch. Photos don't do the knife in hand justice. Papers will accompany piece.

The walrus tooth is a beach fossil find from Alaska. It is around 250-350 years old by the coloration and hardness. Stand is cocobolo and fossil walrus ivory.
Tooth is 2.75"X1" and OAL is 3.75". $ 175 shipped in the USA. Papers will accompany piece. Piece looks far nicer than photos which show too much reflection and highlight.

I took them as close-up shots to show the details. They show up in full on my computer screen.
I made them smaller for you. Let me know if that was better.
I have to set my little photo booth back up and take photos with the good camera, not the cell phone. Photos of Three-D objects, especially scrimshaw, does not show the effect like it looks in person. If I get new photos done soon I'll change them out.

Yes sir that helped of course I am fresh and awake this morning as apposed to last night after a couple of cocktails .

Thank you Stacy , outstanding work .
