SDFK is Glorious

So a few Halloweenā€™s back, we fed some pumpkins to our horses, then last year we noticed some big leafy plants growing in the horse manure pile, and wondered if they sprouted from the pumpkin seeds the horses ate. Then this year the plants returned, and before we knew it, we had our own pumpkin patch- right in the middle of the horse poo pile. What does this have to do with the SDFK? Well, that was the lucky blade chosen to liberate this yearā€™s Halloween decor. šŸ˜†

No abuse, but worked well for what it was designed for. For me, it was a fire duty knife.

I'd go as far to say in the 'large-actually practical' range, the SDFK is a highly functional design...yes, the HDFK is awesome (I owned one for awhile)...but if you're going to do everything from say cleaning a fish to general utility/field use, the SDKF's blade profile just a tad bit superior. My $.02 worth/YMMV. Alas...if only for the lanyard hole....

What are the odds a pair of bright blue SDFK scales would show up the same exact day as a new Signature SDFK without scales? :oops: I had to see what all the fuss/controversy was about with these scales, so I hesitantly mounted these bright blue scales on the bare S-SDFK. Gotta say it looks waaay better than I expected! Turns out the wife likes it too, because she's claimed it already... Thanks S steelhunting for the scales, and thanks 360joules 360joules for the sweet trade deal! šŸ¤

Picking this up againā€¦ā€¦.the SDFK is one of my favorite CPKā€™s of all time! Right up there with the sexy UF! Mmmmmm (swedges)ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦Itā€™s a large knife, though! Here is a pic of mine next to a PM2.
