After vowing not to buy another knife this year, I got the SE Endura 4. I really had to look for it, as most stores that carry Enduras only had CE or the SS version. My previous knife purchase was a CE Delica 4 last month.
These two are an excellent complement. Yes, I own lots of 2's and 3's, even a 1 version. This SE 4 is a cutting monster. It's already bitten me accidentally; I accidentally lightly touched my index knuckle with the edge as I was shifting it around/examining it. Really nice f&f. Its tip is pointier than the Delica 4's, which seems more like a very modified sheepfoot; the Endura 4 seems more like a modified drop/spear point.
I can't really tell if the washers are bronze like the ones on my Delica 4, and I do not intend to disassemble it to find out. They might be nylatron(?), but I can't see them; the tolerances are very tight, yet smoothe-operating.
The edge seems a bit thicker than the Endura 3, but the little I've cut with it so far, it seems very aggressive a cutter. And I like the grip on the 4 better, just like I prefer the Delica 4's grip to the previous versions'.
Now I think I can hold off on knives for the rest of the year. Good knives like Spydies are kinda like Lays chips; it's hard to get just one.
