I apologize in advance.I meant to get pictures of all of this but my camera died on the hike.
I recently took a tube of Seal-all crazy glue on a hike to try as tinder.I remember watching a stunt show explaining that seal-all type glues are one of the most flammable substances known so I thought great tinder in a tube.
I squeezed a little of the thick goo onto a piece of birch bark and hit it with a spark from my flint striker and an angry little flame started right away.the snow was flying pretty hard so the fire was a welcome relief.
For 3.00$ it's a great deal for not only great tinder but powerful glue to repair damaged gear if need be.

Actually it may be very good as an emergency fire starter but too expensive to use on a regular basis: gelified alcohol is a lot more cost effective.

By the way I have no idea how it behaves in cold weather. Does it freeze easily oris it more like alcohol?

I think that is cool - you had a plan and it worked. Cody Lundin suggests carrying Crazy glue to help seal wounds and the like - but multi purpose is ALWAYS good.

I went out to play in the freezing rain today. My brother-in-law and I decided to head out.

I wanted to try my super-glue tinder when I would need it the most. Here I am all soaked.

So we went down into the Vally and found a nice clump of cedar and got ourselves some fluff. Then I added just a small drop of Seal-all to the fluff and sparked it.

We soon had a good little blaze going with ice splashing down all around us.

Cool idea. I don't know anything about seal-all but you should double check the warning label because some glues release cyanide when burned.

Works great. Just make sure to pack the tube in a hard container to prevent puntures and an ungodly mess in the pack.
