So i am planning on getting a new knife after i lost my Ka Bar due to the leather rotting in the Washington swamps, and i have been hearing a lot about the SOG Seal Pup Elite and i want to know if i should get nylon or kydex, keep in mind its just going to be secured to my hip with a belt. it needs to be able to stand getting wet, knocked around, mud, dirt and hours of use.

Both the Nylon and Kydex are waterproof. But the Kydex is probably easier to wash off if needed.
The Nylon comes with a pocket which is ideal for the smallest SOG multi tool. But the Kydex comes
with eyes on each side so you could mount a pocket as well. All a matter of personal preference.

I vote for kydex...easier to maintain imo.
