Hi folks,

I have a Buck Vanguard with cocobola handles and a brass guard. I want to seal the gap between the blade and the guard. I have superglue and JB Weld. Either of these any good? Any other materials or suggestions, especially those that can be purchased at Home Depot or something.

Thanks,

Brad

I have seen JB Weld used before for filling the gap.I have'nt used it but I'd imagine that once applied all excess can be wiped off for a nice neat look.

I'll second zap-a-gap. I've never used it on a knife, but it is the best CA adhesive I've used. Get the thick forumla for something like this. Also, get a bottle of remover, in case you glue your fingers together.

Actually, now that I think of it, why don't I just glue a knife in my hand. That way I have an excuse for anything illegal I want ot carry ("I know I shouldn't carry this here, officer, but it's stuck to my hand, so I don't have a choice").
