I just received a new custom from Sean that I had ordered last August. So, far, the knife has caused me nothing but trouble, frustration, and anger.

First of all, the beauty of Sean's knife is so exquisite that my wife is constantly griping at me, because I gawk at and fondle the knife more than her.

The craftsmanship of Sean's knife is so perfect that it makes all of my other knives look like junk. That's very frustrating, especially considering the amount of money I have invested in them.

Finally, the knife is so comfortable, and the blade shape so useful, that most of my other knives are now unnecessary. I'm very angry at myself for not buying from Sean first.

Just a "heads up" fro those of you considering a knife purchase from Sean.

Just a thought: after reading this thread it is obvious that the title you chose was meant ironically, but consider that not everyone who reads the TGBU thread list will open this thread and read it - thus possibly keeping the name Sean O'Hare undeservedly connected with "trouble". That's why personally I favor neutral or positive titles for posts here.

If you want to change the thread subject, just report this post of mine to the moderators and ask them to do it for you. I'm sure they'd be willing to assist you here.

Thats exactly what brought me to read this. But, I do appreciate the sarcasitc humor. Can't always judge a book by its cover...

Knowing Sean and his knives, your headline caused a "WTF" reaction from me as well.
I agree that it should be altered to reflect the intent.

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to order a knife from Sean but seeing how it is nothing but trouble, I will pick a different custom knife.

great example of how not to write a GB&U title. Sean is a great guy, he deserves better than such a poor attempt at humor.

Though I don't own one of Sean's knives, I have had the opportunity to meet him, and you aren't going to run into a nicer guy.

I'm sorry most of you didn't appreciate my sense of humor.

My observation has been that fewer than 20 people read the positive feedback, and everybody reads the sensational ones. It was my intent to get as many people as possible to read this thread, so Sean would receive some more-than-well-deserved publicity for his exceptional talent and kindness.

Again, I apologize to anyone I've upset.

Interesting that you manage to blame others for what you wrote and how you wrote it.

"Obviously" there's an aspect of irony / 'humor' etc, hopefully you actually grasp the other "obvious" aspects of what others have already well expressed here. You can grasp that without putting people down, I trust.

Frank H.

How on earth did you come to that imperceptive conclusion?

I’ve blamed nobody for what or how I wrote, explained my good intentions, apologized, and corrected the inconsiderate way that I initially worded my thread - which was so thoughtfully pointed out to me by Quiet Storm and others. So yes, I did “grasp that” which you lacked the insight to notice.

Finally, I put nobody down, except to make an a$$ of myself in the way I tried to get people to read my thread in praise of Sean.

I presume you just want to be spiteful. So whose “manners” are in question now?

Hey Guys...

DRM..

I clicked on it,, because I only read the first part of it as well,,and was ready to jump all over you for it...

Anyway,, I think you understand now,, but lets remember this thread is about Sean and his beautiful knives..

Can I make a suggestion to edit your first post, and possibly start a new one for Sean.. I think he deserves straight forward praise or what have you without having to read between the lines...

It's Great tht you love the knife and Sean's work,, but lets see it Straight Up...

and I do understand your humor,, I've done the same thing before and now have a second A- hole to show for it....

ttyle

Eric....

I don't think that this is a very good idea. If someone searches Sean's name at some point in the future and comes across this thread with the first post deleted, he might find it a bit odd. I believe things are fine the way they are now that DRM asked a mod to change the title. JMO.

Hey QS..

No,, don't delete it,,just edit the test..

Yes,,could be a problem if the entire text was deleted..

Thanks

Eric...

In anyone really does judge makers and dealers by reading one post about them without reading the replies to it he's cheating himself. Many of the complaints posted are totally unreasonable.
