but, credit where credit is due- I didn't make the stand. Regrettably, I don't remember the name of the maker, but it came with a custom knife I picked up from a maker here on Bladeforums many years ago. Koziars or something like that, (butchered that name I'm sure). I think he described it as some gypsy knife or something
I cleaned up some stuff today and found my working drawing for this knife. The drawing was made after I forged the blade, so that I could figure out where to remove material. The handle is a fair amount different, but shares the underlying design philosophy. Mostly proportional differences. Also made the guard pointy, which was just an aesthetic choice I made once things started coming together

hey folks!
So I decided to make a display stand for this piece. The idea was to submit it to the local art show, but they declined it. Still, I wanted to make a display for it anyway so I'm glad I did.
Each component was found in the Hills and Forests in my area, all at separate times and in different places.
The padding adhered to the stand that holds the knife in place is the same deer skin that the sheath is lined with.
The standoffs for the base of the stand are waxed, veg tan leather, and intended to evoke a boot print.
