I would argue that an assisted knife is no faster than a well made manual, cool to play with tho' A "waved" knife does have the speed advantage.

I know how the wave works and that's not what was requested.
Thank you for your effort though.

Correct. It is not assisted opening. If you drag your knife across the corner of your pocket that little hook on the spine catches your pocket and opens the blade just on drawing your knife. If you dont want to "wave it open" then draw straight up out of the pocket. The thumbstuds are big enough to manipulate with gloves and the action is buttery smooth.

Im sure if you youtube the emerson wave you can find many examples of the wave in action.

It is not an issue of speed
It is more of a tactical thing (Limited availability of limbs and like that).
Appreciate your interest though.

Just a thought, and I don't know what your budget is, but why not have something made for you?

There are a ton of very good makers on this forum that could be interested in a project like this....

If in the end that's where I go, I may put my head to designing something.

There are so many that are close, I was hoping!!!

I hear you on 'close'

I put all of your variables in a blender, but the size with weight requirement is difficult considering there aren't that many assisted knives out there.

Depending on the steel you want, and considering that you want G10, this might not be as expensive as you might think.

Good luck.
