Gentlemen, I am searching for sterling and other flat wire to be used for inlays. I read through a few tutorials and it appears most are using 015”x1.6m and 010”x1.5m wire. I have checked with Rio Grande and either I can't find it or they no longer carry it. I have checked a couple of other places to no avail. Any suggestions would be great guys. Curtis

I use Stuller. I had to make an order for a couple ounces, but the rolled it to my exact size and temper request.
Joe Keesler used to sell it along with his inlay kit at one time.

Tip:
If possible, get two sizes of flat wire. One in the standard size most inlay is, and one about 2/3 as thick. The smaller wire makes for a very natural look on side tendrils/curls and small "leaves". Also, get a couple sizes of round wire for the center of curls and "berries". 16, 18, and 20 gauge are good. Berries in brass or gold look really nice.

The wire size suggested by Joe Keesler in his book,Handles and Guards, are .013 x .055 and .008 x .055. The wire is available from. T.B. Hagstoz & Son, Inc. (1-800-922-1006)
