+1 one the Fällkniven WM1. The Wm1 is more sheeple than the G1 and better for fishing, camping, survival or other "normal" cutting things. It is like the F1 but smaller. It is popular in sweden as a companion to the S1, A1 or A2.
You can get it with the zytel sheath to wear either on your belt or handle up/ handle down around your neck. There might still be a leather sheath for it too. Convert that and you will have a very nice neck sheath.

For back up purposes, you NEED to get an Emerson LeGriffe! No better knife in it's class, as far as tactical uses. For a small utility type blade. I have 3 Hartsooks and they are a perfect little pocket scalpel. S30v heat treated by Paul Bos. You can't go wrong for $25. I carry 1 every day in my pen pocket while on duty. Wrap the handle with a little para cord and it's good to go!

I like the Livesay Woo, Nrgs, and LP's.
i like the woo because they used to be a cheap, well made fixed blade which had a good sheath to boot, and it feels good in the hand ie the handle isnt too short to get a good grip, they seem to bring a premium since newt went outta biz though and while its smoking for $50 i dont know about oh say $100.
of course its heat treated, IIRC he laser cuts the blanks and hand finishes them.
