Please help me find my ultimate EDC/Camp/Field Fixed Blade.

The last few camping trips have shown me that none of my smaller EDC blades can handle camp chores well (food prep/slicing, kindling prep, and fire starting) and I am not a fan of carrying a big blade around camp. I prefer to have a small axe (GB Outdoor Axe or something larger for car camping) and a mid-sized knife combo.

I am looking for a blade that meets ALL (not most as I have a couple that are close) of these criteria:

2.75-3.25" blade.
Less than or equal to 1/8" thick blade. Full tang.
Drop point or similar shape.
Flat grind.
Stainless steel.
Handle 0.5-0.6" thick. I have medium/small hands.
Sharpened spine.
Wood handle scales.
Kydex sheath for neck carry (I can go custom for this).

There are a couple LT Wright knives that are close.

Any other suggestions for me to consider?? Thanks!

I don't think this matches most of the criteria.

How about a Wirtz Made Falcon?

Yup, BK16 does not match most of my criteria.

Wirtz Falcon looks nice but blade is a little long and that looks like more of a sabre grind than a full flat grind. Thanks for the suggestion!

Bradford Guardian 3 is an awesome little knife, and you can choose sheaths and handle material from their website. I absolutely love mine!
Funny you should mention that blade. I had one with the sabre grind and sold it (or gave it away as a gift). It does not have a sharpened spine but is a potential contender.

Check out Benchmade's Puukko 200. I made a new sheath for mine using the original as a pattern.
Santoprene handle and grind take it out of the mix. Thanks for the suggestion though....

Esee 3 or 4 are closest things that come to my mind.
1095 steel, blade length, and handle material do not meet my picky criteria. I do not want a coated blade either. Thanks for the suggestion though....

It is looking like that may be my best option because I am so picky......

I really like the blade shape and handle of LT Wright Great Plainsman, but it does not come in a stainless steel and has a saber grind (but with that blade profile it might be a good slicer). I have had staining issues with a D2 Dozier in the past. I gave that one away to a friend named Dozer. :)

Tang runs the full length but is only exposed on top and at the end
Sharpened spine
Can check out the review on bushcraftcanada.com

Interesting, but the low scandi grind would not be a good slicer - I do not want my carrot slices flying off my cutting board like they do with other scandi grinds. :)

Well i know you stated “exact” but i very well cant research specifications for you but the Bark River Ultralite Bushcrafter comes to mind as a do it all EDC/Bushcraft knife. I have one in 3V and it serves me well...It’s a 3.25” blade.

Now excuse me while I duck, I know the Mike Stewart hate will soon follow my recommendation.

Convex scandi grind takes it off the list for me - but it is pretty close. Thanks!

ESEE Xancudo is pretty darn close to what you’re looking for
