Here is a Searles Bowie done up as customer requested. It is a take down blade at this time as I have left it unsharpened until sheathmaker completes his task. My San Mia Damascus of 1095 and nickel and African Blackwood with nickel silver fittings. Fun Fun Fun to build.

Kevin, I wanted to do a silver throat sheath but client didnt want to spend the bucks so its gonna get a black leather one.
Karl, yes the escutcheon is slightly raised. Thanks.

Keith, it has a 9 1/4 inch blade and 15 1/2 inches overall and 1 1/2 inch wide. Holowed out the fittings for balance and the blade is a little over a 1/4 inch thick with a distal taper. Like I have said, this one really is Fun to build. Thanks

Can't go wrong with a Searles. A silver throated "period" scabbard would have been nice to go with such a well crafted knife though.

The owner will only be sorry once ---- for the rest of the time he owns the knife. I'm sure he'll be kicking himself. Why go first class on the knife and second class on the sheath ?? Great job Mr. Dan ! I happen to be working on one at the moment with Paratus.
