Seasonal

I am also interested in how well the Micarta holds up after some use. How new and fresh it still looks, how easy it is to clean up.

pawprint, the micarta handles are holding up very well. Super easy to clean with soap and water and a toothbrush. It's original color still remains true blue. The handles remain gripy even while doing chickens and all the fluids came off easily. The front nickle bolsters on mine have
been scratched through use. Either against a rock or sharpening stone. I'm not sure which. I can polish this back to original. Thru all this torquing & cutting the blade remains centered as when it arrived. Though sharpened the blade shows no scratch marks. I've been trying to
be careful. Even cutting cardboard you can hit a staple. But it has no nicks and the bevel still looks mostly original. The pivot is sticky from
sugar juice, so I will oil it and work that out. Can't help that and trying to be honest. I'm impressed w/ the entire package, the blade shape and steel. Real glad I got mine. DM

Very glad to hear, and thank you for the feedback. I believe it would serve just about anyone well.

Your welcome. At 8X after a few passes and checking the blade. I've seen burrs being removed. They look like fine, short hairs curling up from the blades edge. Perhaps a 1/2 inch long, it is metal. During these tests if it feels like it doesn't want to cut I check the edge. If I feel burrs
I know it's time to do some work on it. It could cut some more but not efficiently. I'd rather use simple maintenance techniques than do a full sharpening. DM

Do we know how many of the 200 produced have sold thus far?

I think the 15 or 16 is all that's left. From his post, he contracted for 200. There were 2 batches made. 30 early on and the remainder offered
now. This 110 configuration Buck may not do again. If you like and can, move for one. Some purchased more. Thanks, DM
