Since creating a picture storage account I have photographed one of my many kits. I call it my “Seat Of Your Pants Kit.” It started out as a little stove, some tea, coffee and a mug in a cardboard box in my work car for the 6am starts on building sites. One weekend I threw my swag in the back and drove off up the road not having a clue where I was going other than the destination was going to be either a state forest or national park … and near drinkable creek water. During that weekend I worked out I needed more in the box :) and some paracetamol.
So I made a wooden box and put the basics in it for two people … sort of.
The kit has evolved into this.

The little pan is cast iron and has a fold in handle. With the pan is a mini pair of tongs a mini spatula for pancakes and frying.
The stainless cups are different, one having a skin for insulation ant the other big enough to put on the stove for two cuppas.

As for my blades, they’re in my overnight bag and that’s another thread ;)

Cool stuff!
Could you give me a little info on the blue stove?
Second, is that a bullet peanut lighter? I have one that was my grandfathers. Probably 50 years old.

Rupestris ... the stove is an old version of an Optimus Hunter. It runs on lighter fluid (zippo type) called naphtha petroleum and really is just highly refined petrol. Use a bit of metholated spirits (alcohol) to prime it and off she goes. Spits a bit as she heats up but really runs like a blowtorch when heated. I sort of collect stoves like this.
The lighter ... sounds like you can tell me more about it than I know ... I also collect lighters that have a wick, just found it hanging on a rack in an army disposal store. I keep it with the stove due to having same fuel as stove and small. Its probably about 15 years old.

Thanks Bill. Not really comfortable with posting these pics although it is one of my many crazy kits. Things I do while getting tired for bed.

Is the hip flask for the stove fuel?

Condensed milk in a tube, yum!

The mini tongs are a good idea, I think I'll look around for some.
