What an awesome day!!!! Thank you to David and Andrea and to everyone who helped put this on. An experience I will not soon forget.
Meers won THE award!
Sorry I won't be able to post the dozens and dozens of photos I captured for a couple of days. Right now, I'm at the Green Tortoise hostel trying to wake up with about the shittiest cup of coffee ever. Ironic, considering I'm at the heart of hoity toity coffee in America. Anyway, I'll be heading to Kirkland via public transport in a couple of hours for more good times.
I'm totally impressed with this show. Best one I've ever been to!But seriously, the calibre and depth of talent here is unreal, and the venue is so compact that it's really a very social experience.
Again, sorry for the lack of eye candy, but I have lots of good stuff and I'll be putting a thread together once I return home and have some time. Probably wednesday or so.
Two things I noticed in the show: (1) Saign Charlestein, whom I had never heard of before, does awesome work, and (2) there were a lot more chef knives than in any other show I've been to.
