I'm a giants fan of course but I'm rooting for the hawks! Sherman is a really down to earth dude he just had one of those "any given sunday" moments on air is all!
I am NOT the passionate bleed orange type of Bronco fan but I do hope they take the bowl. Around here everything has been orange and blue for the past week. We have billboards comparing Champ Bailey with Sherman on three places along I 25. Has them both side by side. Over Champ's smiling Portrait is superimposed the word "Class". Superimposed over a clip of Sherman's meltdown expression is "No Class" and it's huge! You can see it for miles as your driving along I-25 past Bronco's 'Sport's Authority Field at Mile High' or what we just call 'Mile Hi Stadium'. Silly thing's gone by four titles so far since being torn down and rebuilt a decade ago.
Every day the news around here starts out with Broncos this and Bronco that. This morning's story was about a Seattle teenager who wore his Bronco jersey to work and got fired. Seems Washington allows employers to terminate employees over clothing issues. Yeah, that was really on Denver's Channel 7 news. If Peyton crosses his eyes or burps in public off goes the news van with the station's prettiest anchor girl to cover it! And there's plenty of radio trash talk about Seattle as well, all in the spirit of sport comraderie. Radio Station KTCL's on air personality 'NERF' runs a daily LOL insert. Today's shot was reasons to hate Seattle. 1. Home to Starbucks 2.Windows VISTA was invented there. 3.You're right next door to Canada. 4. Sherman...on and on, etc.
It's pretty crazy around Denver right now. I try to stay out from around there. If you don't like the Broncos this is not a good tourist destination at least for the next 15 days.
You know what Peyton Manning and O.J. Simpson have in common?
O.j. Simpson drove a slow white Bronco, and Peyton Manning is a slow white Bronco. I'm pulling for Denver, as is almost anyone that doesn't live in the Pacifiic North West.
