Modern seax-

This blade comes from ancient postwar millsaw stock. Spine is .105 thick (7/64th, or right between 3/32 and 1/8). The blade is broad, being 1 5/8 inches wide at the widest point, with a blade length of 6 1/8 inches. Overall the knife is 11 3/8 inches.

The blade is differentially tempered and convex ground, with a forge finish and bluing to the exposed tang areas and spine.

handle is ipe with a nicely figured grain pattern. Pins at 3/16 ID lanyard tubing in brass.

Sheath is a fold over deep pouch with a single strap. double needle hand stitched and waterformed by Koyote Girl.

Handle is ipe with a bit of a 'cinnamon and pepper' grain pattern. Brass pins and lanyard tubing.

Sheath is a fold over deep pouch with a single strap. double needle hand stitched and waterformed by Koyote Girl.

always love your work. convex grinds aren't usually my thing, but i've been eyeing up your other stuff real hard.and i must say that first sheath is stunning, the workmanship blows me away.

Always can do scandis, I've even done the occasional v grind final bevel :thumbup:
