Sebenza 25 HELP

I was referring to the old pivot Umnumzaan. I have both and don't use loctite on the new pivot. Maybe I'm lucky that way ;)

The old pivot Umnumzaan works exactly the same as the new. Precision threads. The only difference is the diameter of the "head" portion of the pivot hardware and the tool used to adjust them. Functionally, they are identical.

CRK includes purple loctite with the 25 and the Umnumzaan for a reason.

Out of the horse's mouth, so to speak...

So the principle behind the Umnumzaan pivot is a modern approach to thread engineering using precision male and female threads combined with Loctites latest technology to get strength and rigidity in the pivot.I would recommend that you use the Loctite because it is not only to prevent it from loosening up, but just a tiny drop.We are always on the cutting edge here at C.R.K. sometimes it is not always evident to the customer,so keep asking questions.

It interests me why someone would spend so much money on a knife and not follow the manufacturers recommendations but it is your money.

Like I said before...I don't use it on the new pivot, nor do I (personally) see a need for it on my knife. It has never loosened up on me as the old one did, so I choose not to loctite it. Again, my choice...I'm fortunate that way. Others may need to use loctite as their experiences may differ from mine.

Now if I could only get this knife sharp again. I followed the factory angle using my edge pro and it was very obtuse around 24° it's sharp but not a slicer.

24 on each side? They can take sharper edges. They make excellent slicers if you rub off some shoulder.
