I have not experienced that. I don't think I have any Sebenza credentials that you lack. Maybe I'm lucky? Or maybe your knife still needs more time to break in? IDK.
 
Sorry I was just making a bit of a joke about how serious we all take Sebenzas arguing on the internet. I don't mean to point fingers but I had originally posted this in the Tinkering/Modding section but it got moved here by someone else. I originally posted it in the hopes of getting input from people with more experience in knife making/modding than I do. I think the fact it ended up in the CRK forum made it seem more inflammatory than I meant it to be.
 
Just as a data point; I have two Large and one Small Sebenza 31 knives, all polished with Ebony. All with no problems at all. All are breaking in well. All purchased new this year. One of the Large knives has a Damascus blade and it was right out of the box the smoothest CRK knife that I've owned. The blade drops free-fall. I can't recall if it was dropping free-fall out of the box as I disassembled the knife to remove the lanyard. On reassembly, as usual, everything was tightened down.
