Sebenza Blade testing

Painful to watch, but with surprising results. I received mine about 10-15 years ago. I didn't really know much about CRK knives. I was testing it for a knife article I was writing. I used and carried it everyday for about 8 months on duty. The field editor and I were impressed with the performance on duty and in the wilderness. At that time, I did a little research and discovered it was premium knife. I stopped EDC from the opinion I'd hate to loose it. However, it was my one of my favorite knives and still holds that ranking.

I found the test very informative. It gave me new respect for my Sebenza, and even more confidence in it. Thanks for sharing.

Ciao, should i ask you if the blade was sharp during the test? it was a sharp edge or a thick one?

I had sharpened it on my worksharp sharpener. I believe it creates a 20 degree angle, but it was hair shaving sharp.

Thanks for the PM :)

I still have the blade (somewhere..) but I haven't done any follow up tests. It seemed to ruffle some people's feathers so I just decided to leave things as they were in the original post. If it's says anything regarding my tests, I'm still EDC'ing a sebenza :)

You have to cross the border to find out, where exactly it is.
Thanks for sharing - although this is a little late.
I'd like to see how the blade performs on let's say a can (not a soda, but a food can) or steel drum.

First time I've seen this.

Thats pretty amazing !

Shows CRK heat treat is spot on, but most of us knew that already.

Thanks for the testing
