Sebenza Clip insert and screw" question. >>

I talked to Bryan at Chris Reeve. He is the shop forman. They are going to pull the thumb stud, address the rust, re-tumble the blade, sharpen it and replace the stud FOR FREE! Simply amazing.

John,

Great support you're getting from Chris and his crew. Not unexpected either. They have a great reputation.

Now if you'd like to forego that clip and use a sheath, check out the outstanding work Gary Graley does. He's made me a slip pouch to use with my custom Buck 532s and a horizonal sheath for my Simonich Talonite REKAT Carnivore.... both absolutely outstanding!

Gary,

You ol' dawg! What's this talk about leaving the southern tier of New York? Getting tired of all that snow? Hehehe... hell last year Syracuse (where I grew up) got 195 inches. Here in the "banana belt" of the northern plains we only get 47" per year average. But let's not talk about wind or wind chill, okay?

All the best!

Wind Chill? Oh yea, when the wind blows when it's under 65 degrees, it's chilly here. If I'm not in the sun, I have to put a tee-shirt on. I hate when that happens. Once or twice in January, I even need long pants. Life is hell here. BTW Bob, I'll check out those sheaths.

Thanks,
John

I'll not leave for quite a while, wishful thinking I suppose!
And it's good to see you are up and around! Must be that computer is working better for you?

Gary,

Oh okay... just wishful thinking on your part!

Yeah...I dumped my exhausted 200MHz and have been running an overclocked 1.2Gig T'Bird with cable modem instead of the old twisted copper wire - modem deal that never allowed me above 21k bps.

I love this place but the sheer volume of posts and numbers of new folks has had me running for the hills. When I was moderating the old General Forum it got to the point where I gave up asking folks to please post in appropriate forums or at least search for answers to common questions first before posting. Then my moderator "partner" died. I got burned out.

That, changes at work, and diversification of interests. On other specialized forums I still run into folks I met here (eg Kelly aka Senator and our French friend Nemo).

I wasn't watching very closely here when Mike left and Spark took over. Still a bit confused about what all prompted that. I had thought Mike still ran the knife store too but e-mails are signed by Kevin as well.

My old moderator status is gone as it should have be. At least my original registration still shows.

BTW I love the way you've improved your web site... great stuff Gary!

All the best!

Gary,
What is the price range of your beautiful sheaths? I especially like this one...

Does it allow for vertical carry as well? Is there a strap to hold the knife from falling out?

Thanks in advance,
John
