Sebenza Dilema

I say to pick up a 21. I've owned two and love(d) both. I ended up letting go of the KA Small CF Sebenza 21 because as beautiful and perfect as it was, something just didn't click and it didn't get as much attention.

I have a Plain Jane Large Sebenza 21 and am very happy I went with this one as my first. The feel and simple look are great. I also love the marks it has picked up over time. Just gives it a well worn/used and loved look to me. One of those knives you can look at and say "That knifes owner really used it and loved it". That kind of look is truly beautiful to me.

However, I would love to have a CF scale for it. It just looks classy, is smooth, beautiful, has a great look and feel, and the weight reduction would be quite noticeable(it was with a small 21 and a small CF 21).

I don't think you could go wrong with either. The Plain Jane is great and beautiful. Feels nice in the hand, and the weight actually gives it a nice solid feel.
The KA CF will be lighter but won't lose any strength. It will also be just as smooth and solid. CF truly is a beautiful material and looks great on a Sebenza. This one is a little different from the classic look but is just as classy.

I really want to just get a CF scale for my Plain Jane 21 because it'd be nice to be able to swap back to the ti if I got sick of the CF and vise versa.

Maybe get a plain Large 21 and a custom CF scale made the way you want it and have the best of both worlds?

I think the Sebenza 25 is the best knife that CRK has produced. So that would be my choice. If you don't monkey around too much you should be able to find one.

A regular Sebenza 21 (plain jane) is definitely a good starting point.
This knife is the real deal. Everything else is a further develoment.
I think it depends what you need your knife for. The CF scale makes it considerable lighter, but in my book it changes the charakter of the knife.
Inlays add to the look and of course to the grip and make the knife more sophisicated and also nice to show off.

If it's possible try to handle one in person, that helps a lot imho.

I have the small and large 21 CF.
I LOVE them both. The weight is noticeably significant.

I plan to get the inlayed version next and then a 25 later down the road.

I recommend a Lg. plain 21. It's THE Sebenza. ...plus unlike the fancier ones you can feel better about gettin that thang dirty! IMO it's impossible to understand and enjoy a knife unless I can see what it can do! As far as 21 vs. 25... Yeah it's the bees knees! I really like mine. But it is less "Sebenza-y" than a 21 is!

I've purchased the special edition knives, that I believe won't be around forever. The plane titanium scales will always be an option on the Sebenza. Pick up a special edition 21 and a plain Jane 25.

Small Insingo hands down! lol or small insingo w/micarta inlays =) Whatever you decide, post pics!!

If you think you would appreciate the light weight of the carbon fiber scale I'd say get that one. I have Lg cf in lefty and it's one of my favorites.

Let me ask you this: if you woke up tomorrow and it was "out of stock" for a long long time would you regret not picking one up? If so, stop ducking around and buy one!

Well...I finally ponied up an ordered one.....A large 21, plain with double lugs. The reason I ordered with double lugs is the symmetrical aspect and I love the blue anodized pieces. Hopefully Blade HQ will have my order to me within the week. Like a lot of people said, if I want to customize to a Carbon fiber later I can or just order one at a later date lol.
