Sebenza has ruined my knife collecting hobby.

When I started collecting, Spydies, Cold Steel, Benchmade, etc. were all that. And they were inexpensive enough that I used to buy several knives a year. Until I bought my first Sebenza and realized how inferior all other knives were to the Sebenza. Now, I have no interest in reading about other knives and I'm now limited to one knife a year (Sebenza) a year. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I've discovered the quality of the Sebenza, but deep down, I miss the allure of reading about the lastest and greatest xyz brand. I just know if I bought another knife other that a Sebenza, I would be diappointed.

I know exactly how you feel. I literally own dozens of custom folders that are just sitting in drawers collecting dust!!

I'm in the same boat! After buying my Sebenzas and a Mnandi I have no interest in anything else. Got rid of most of my lesser knives (at a loss) I did, however, just order a Buck Mayo out of curiosity. (It's a sickness)

I own a small regular Sebbie and two Mnandis and every time I go to a knife store, show or look at the BFC Exchange forums I end up comparing everything to those three knives. Consequently my knife buying has slowed down considerably. Now my Wife will say this is a good thing but to me it stinks. What is a guy to do??
:D ;)

I agree - I was buying a new folder every month until I got the sebenza. Now, even though I do ocassionally purchase a small spyderco, its very hard to justify. I had this same thing happen with pistols, many went through my hands until I shot the glock 30 - Now thats stopped also. What the HELL do I spend my money on now with no guns or knives left??? Well I guess I could start saving my money... LOL.:D

I don´t think that CRK has ruined my collection, but i know what you´re talking about.

I had a collection with over 20 productions (Bechmade, CRKT, etc.) and after I had my first sebenza, i´ve sold them all with the time.

I have 4 Sebenzas now, 2 Mnadis and a few handmades.
And the fifth Sebbie will come in this year. A small anual edition with CBB-Inlays and raindrop damascus blade.

love4steel - wake up, wake up. Shake yourself awake. "What the HELL do I spend my money on now with no guns or knives left???".

The answer is "More guns and knives". Or in your case "More Glocks and Sebbies".

You guys are scaring me with this post....Next thing we'll be talking about gardening or housekeeping.

Satisfied with pistols?

Time to get into rifles!

Satisfied with standard folders?

Fixed blades!

There are too many types of neat toys out there to settle just because you've found your favorite of a certain kind.

Try flipping a balisong or something. :)

And if you really don't have anything else to do with your money (and you don't want to contribute to the "buy Zal more knives/guns fund" :D) you can at least buy ammunition for the guns you have and get some practice in.

Same here. Compared to my CRKs and alox SAKs, nothing else really jumps out at me. I can't wait for the Umfaan re-design.

Man you sound like me!! I can usually be found with a small Sebbie in one pocket and my Alox Bantam or Cadet in the other. I can't wait for the Umfaan myself. I'm hoping against hope that it will come with, or have an option for, a Wharncliffe blade.

I got my first small Sebenza 4 weeks ago.
Right now I have 3 CRK's in order.
1 Sebenza Large regular
1 fixed Tanto 4"
1 Nkonka OD green CPM 3V

So hopefully they will arrive within the next days.

love4steel,

There are three things everyone should own.
A Great Knife
A Great Firearm
A Great Illumination tool.

I love my Surefire M6. The best 330.00 I ever spent on a flashlight.:D

www.surefire.com

Oh yeah, if you get one, don't pay the 392.00 on their website. You should be able to get one for around 300.00:)

Paul and Joe. I can personally attest to the fact that the Lochsa is a great knife and well worth the wait. If you love Sebbies you will really love the Lochsa!:D  ;) :p

I love my surefire C3HA ! Being a bouncer on the weekends, its works great when two guys are about to fight- I blast them in the eyes with it. They get turned off from fighting pretty fast when they start wishing for their eyesight to return to normal.;)

I agree with Scott, the Lochsa is a great folder.
I'm anxiously awaiting the small to come out.

Is it definite that a small Lochsa will be produced? (I feel bad even asking on this forum. It's like I'm cheating on Chris or something. :o )
