Sebenza in CPM3V

<snip> Its kind of like saying the drag strip is only 100 yards long so lets put away that racecar and run it on a bicycle. The car is still faster so I might as well use it. Just my thoughts

Sort of, but not really.

While the difference is noticeable, it isn't That drastic.
I would liken it to a purpose built track car that needs a 30 tuneup once it is ran a few times versus a WRX that just needs it's tires kicked and it's oil checked prior to a run.

Both will do the job just fine, while one will perform better, it takes much longer to get it back in shape.
That is one of the draws of a CRK, I have touched mine up in a mug, baking dish, sand paper, dmt products, you name it...

But a Bike?? If you have any CRKs that you think so lightly of, send it to me so it can be appreciated.

Don't get me wrong, I have two 25's and a Umnumzaan and they are great knives. I would say the best put together knife there is for that price range and even higher. But the difference in s35vn and 3V are miles apart. My 3V blade stays sharper much much longer. The weeks or months that my el patron stays sharper are worth the little extra it takes to sharpen it again.

Several years ago, I was into 3V in a big way. So big, that I contacted Reese Weiland to fabricate a flat ground 3V blade for my large Seb.

Here she is in her glory!

Oh yes, that is an ugly chip. Like I have seen as well.

I will take back what I said, while I love the current steel. I would love some 3V. Even on a TI lock would be cool.
In fact I would love a heavy duty Ti lock model with 3V. 3.6 inch blade and this knife would still be compact.

I like her! That´s a great looking custom!

3V, PD1, 20cv, or cruwear, would make a seb the best knife ever!! I would go broke buying them.

I don't mind the s35vn but there is no denying that the steels I listed here are far superior to it. As some have stated, the ability to hold an edge far longer and be tougher is a fact.

With that being said, I still love my large insingo and will continue to use it.
