I just received my first Sebenza after about 6 months of handling my first one. It has the single smoothest action of ANY folder I have.

I was just curious what do I have to do to get double thumb studs on this knife?

call the shop, they can do it for a nominal charge i believe...

get that blade polished while it's at the shop!

Jason, congrats on the sebbie, post pics, call CRK, I forget what the fee is and it would be inappropriate for me to say. Very minimal cost. Turnaround time is usually 7 to 14 days.

Hows the little one feeling, better I hope!

She responded well to the medication, the doctors decided it was just an inflamed appendix. We are back home and had a nice little package in the mail!!! Is it possible to order the thumb studs or is it an "In Shop" only operation?

I will get some pictures up as soon as possible...tonight actually!

In shop operation, it will be back before you realize it's gone. That's why you must own more the one!:D

Very happy to hear she's better and home too.

Congrats! I've got one with the double studs and I think that's the only way to go:thumbup: escpecially of its a user.

Double studs ?? You should be able to open the knife with ONE hand therefore ONE stud !! I worked out a way to open mine with either hand .It's not fast with the left hand but it's possible !! With double stud do you make a cut out on the other side of the handle too ??

Gravel that sebenza should be mine and you know it. lol, nice steal on the sebenza, hope you enjoy it.

It is easy to open it with the left hand, just not as quick as using the thumb stud.....on the left it is a finger stud.....not a thumb stub. The dual studs would just make it quicker.

I only responded after you made the offer contingent on the "tool". :D

For that price, it didn't matter if it was disassembled!

Did you find one yet?

I have had the CRKT the longest. It has lived through throwing competitions, stabbed into concrete, chopped small branches, and just ABUSED as far as folders go and it is still just as strong as the day I got it. It keeps a good edge for a long time considering I cut boxes all day at work and it cost less than $50. The other 3 are all less than 2 weeks with the CR getting here 2 days ago.

It has already take front pocket position....only the single stud thing annoys me....it is the only pocket knife I have ever had that has that?! It is going to the shop as soon as I can part with it.

The Rat Trap is great, but doesn't open as smoothly as the Seb. and the liner lock worries me. Granted I have NEVER had a problem with it or heard of one.....it is thin and just "looks" weak. I much prefer frame locks. And that brings me to the Strider RC.,,DUAL thumb stub (++++) thick blade that still slices all day long, it is LARGE....VERY LARGE. When the term "overbuilt" is used...this is it, but it is nice to know it will be there if I need it to do something unfolder-like.

Still too early to tell, I have a Spyderco Captain on the way....soooooo, I will have to compare them all again. I just can't limit myself to 1 company on anything...so many options and differences in craftsmanship that make them all desirable. But I can say easily, that I will carry the CR the most. And probably retire the CRKT to the BOB or Truck. The RC for camping and Rat Trap and Seb. will just alternate.

I have a lifter sheath on the way for the Seb with. I have one for the RC...I will post a picture of it also.

47.50 for the whole shabang for the stud and return shipping. They throw in a cleaning and sharpening while there:thumbup::thumbup:! I just sold the CRKT to fund this......that Sebenza is REALLY growing on me!
