I have had the CRKT the longest. It has lived through throwing competitions, stabbed into concrete, chopped small branches, and just ABUSED as far as folders go and it is still just as strong as the day I got it. It keeps a good edge for a long time considering I cut boxes all day at work and it cost less than $50. The other 3 are all less than 2 weeks with the CR getting here 2 days ago.
It has already take front pocket position....only the single stud thing annoys me....it is the only pocket knife I have ever had that has that?! It is going to the shop as soon as I can part with it.
The Rat Trap is great, but doesn't open as smoothly as the Seb. and the liner lock worries me. Granted I have NEVER had a problem with it or heard of one.....it is thin and just "looks" weak. I much prefer frame locks. And that brings me to the Strider RC.,,DUAL thumb stub (++++) thick blade that still slices all day long, it is LARGE....VERY LARGE. When the term "overbuilt" is used...this is it, but it is nice to know it will be there if I need it to do something unfolder-like.
Still too early to tell, I have a Spyderco Captain on the way....soooooo, I will have to compare them all again. I just can't limit myself to 1 company on anything...so many options and differences in craftsmanship that make them all desirable. But I can say easily, that I will carry the CR the most. And probably retire the CRKT to the BOB or Truck. The RC for camping and Rat Trap and Seb. will just alternate.
I have a lifter sheath on the way for the Seb with. I have one for the RC...I will post a picture of it also.
