I'm curious to know how many of you remove the laynards from your Sebenzas. I've left mine on but frankly, it kind of gets in the way and and lately I've been thinking about removing it. How hard is is to remove and retie if needed? Are there any advantages to leaving it in place and dealing with the fact that it get in the way?

I don't like any lanyards, so mine stay off and, I'm also no "bolt-flipper" !!!

:p

I always take the lanyard of my Sebbies. While it does help to draw from the pocket, and it is always handy to have a bit of cordage on hand, my personal preference is to go without.

I leave mine on. The Sebbie is the ONLY knife I like a lanyard on. I dunno why, I just do.

I'm generally a remover. And lately a bit of a bolt flipper, I'll admit.

If you can't easily see how to retie that knot, you probably shouldn't be handling cutting tools.

I've kept mine on, for the obvious reason for drawing from the pocket.

Before the sebbie I would still put them on small fixed blades but more for a grip extension. Now that I have the sebbie I'm finding myself putting short lanyards on more of my folders.

I have two striders that I've put similar length/different knot lanyards on.

I remove them and put my own own. I like them for removing from the pocket and gives me a little more 'handle'. I also like fiddling with it when it's in my pocket. A nervous tick I guess:D

I bought a large so don't need more handle. I keep them on because I like how they look though.

On my EDC, I remove the CRK lanyard and put it in the box. Then I tie my own version of lanyard on.

You HAVE to flip the bolts. It seems more logical to to have the "nice" side of the bolt showing on the face of the knife rather than on the back. Just my opinion of course :D I've alsways wondered why CRK do that???

Having said that, I don't touch anything on my two safe queen Sebbies. They are pure as the day they were born :D :D

You know that never occured to me. Now I must flip. I think it will look better that way. Heck, there is a 50% chance it would end up flipped when I clean the knife!

T.K.C.---Me too! I took the lanyard off my first Seb, but it's staying on my latest. No other knife of mine has a lanyard.

Initially, & for the first 2, I took it off, but for my current EDC (In the rotation, anyways), I took the factory one off & use my own. I've just found that instead of trying to loosen the clip's tension on my pant's pocket, a lanyard is useful & I don't worry about it coming out accidentally. If I used a large Seb, I'd probably not use a lanyard (I don't on my semi-custom Alias I).

I am a flipper, and I take the lanyard off. The seb in the belt sheath doesn't have a lanyard, but one I made is on the sebbie in the pocket.
