again, thank you everyone for providing your thoughts and opinions! i'll have to say after reading all your feedback carefully, i don't know if my decision is any easier but it's great to hear what all you guys have to say, especially those who own both or have EDC'd either the large or small.
looking at the street price difference between the large and small, i'm so inclined to go for the large! but at the same time, i think maybe the small might be the better choice, for being an easier size to carry around and have 'disappear into my pocket' (i liked that i would forget i was carrying the spyderco, but i rarely forget i'm carrying the griptilian since it's got a chunky handle (though i do love the feel and heft of the grip's handle).
also, sometimes my friends (who are *not* into knives) need to cut something, and if i whip out my ritter grip, it kinda freaks them out. i guess it would be considered to be a 'large' or at least 'full' sized folder. whereas when i take out a smaller 'pocket knife' like the calypso or one of the small (under 3" blade) gerbers i have, i don't get the 'whoas' or 'damn' type comments that a bigger knive elicits. hate to say it but this does sorta play into the decision.. sorta makes me lean towards the small seb.. anyone else ever get these reactions/feel this way?
