Sebenza lock up question

Many frame-locks and liner-locks have the same thing occur.
Even steel and titanium will flex and give a little when enough force is applied.
So long as there is no blade-play while cutting it should be fine.

I don't think you have a problem. As long as the lock up is tight without any play your seb is ok. That said make sure that when you strip it down you reassemble it correctly. follow the directions on the web site.

APerna,
What directions do you speak of. I usually follow the directions in Danish Viking's Video.

Danish Viking made a video of the official instructions, so you are following the right ones. Good idea to send it in. The lock probably shouldn't be moving when you cut, mine does not budge at all.

*Update*
Anne sent me an email stating my Sebenza was wihin factory specs. I had a feeling it was fine, just needed the final word from the gang in Idaho.

This is a very interesting thread.
I have a large reg. Sebenza that engages about 50% and doen't seem to migrate unless I end up pressing the lock bar in gripping. Like some others, though, I have found that some liner-lock knives do indeed migrate during cutting (not grip) pressure. I have some Columbia River linerlocks that do that, and I think it has to do partly with how the blade tang presses against the stop pin; that maybe the stop pin has some play or give to it during heavy cutting pressure that then creates space for the linerlock to travel further across the tang.
