sebenza lockbar bending

I seem to be out of touch. Umnumzaans are now going to have that disc? I'll need to order a few dozen before they get rolled into general production then.

Yep, there's a big thread about it, but you might have overlooked it because the title is something about changes to the Wilson Combat version without direct reference to the disc; those already have switched to the disc.

yeah thats true i rather pay some more attention to closing the knife than having a disc like this..hmmm

something i dont understand is .. if theres never been a problem with the umnum lock bending over why did they put the disc on it ..and are they planning to put one on the seb as well.

at some point the sebenza will lose its simplicity everybody loves it for..

I believe as I tried paying close attention in reading the Linked post about the Umnumzaan your questions are already addressed that the disk was added because the problem was people purposely bending the bar trying to adjust it, and that the sebenza would not be affected as the problem has been primarily with the Umnumzaan and the folks.

So no sebenza changes and the disk was added since people attempted to "loosen" the lockbar and broke 'em as per my understanding.

I have played with the tension on some other Ti frame locks. Even when I overextended the lock bar by 1/2 to 1" before you will take some tension off. The only way to mess it up is to intentially do it.

I actually don't like the LBS and think its a nusance. Because when I unlock a frame lock I like to make sure the lockbar is all the way out of the way of the blade tang so it doesn't eat it up.

No way to bend it unless you're trying to. And it wouldn't be easy even if you tried.
