Sebenza or Starbenza

Controversy starter? Small sebenza or small starbenza?! Which is more preferred? Pictures are always welcome!!! :D
 
My only CRK is a large Starbenza, so I'm not in a position to compare. I can tell you I love the feel of my Star's grip.

Nice! I just ordered a small starbenza from Wilson Combat today! They expect it in within a week or two!! Not soon enough!!! I'm almost done completing my collection of the whole Chris Reeve folder line, I have a Mnandi, Umnumzaan, small sebbie and soon the starbenza!

Id go with the starbenza for sure.just received a startac today and luv the way the machined scales look and feel.
 
I am going to go against the grain here and say my vote is for plain Jane. Its just something about it. It is simple, classic, and timeless! I'm just sayin..
 
Of the two you mentioned it's hard for me to decide but if you include the original small sebenza, the original takes it hands down. I've sold a few sebenza's but the one I regret the most selling is a small original, it's that special if you can find an original small sebenza.

Haven't had a Starbenza yet but have had my eye on it for months. The only draw back is none have an insingo blade. I love my small Seb insingo but love the scale pattern on the starbenza.

Saw someone post a pic the other day where they sent their plain Jane in to CRK and had a pattern put on the scale. Looked pretty nice. Might consider that and get the best of both worlds.
 
I love the pattern on my Startac, but I am glad I got a plain Sebenza. I plan to have it engraved someday. I dont think you could go wrong either way.

Agreed for sure. I always come back to my sebenza although my mod 95 is right up there! Although if you are deciding between both and you can get the starbenza, grap it. Its a little harder to come by.

I have seen a few guys wet sand the starbenza so it has a shinny too tone. It's pretty awesome, I almost like that better!
 
Ya. Or scotch brite it lightly, it gives it that two tone effect and I think it looks amazing like that! I did it to my umnumzaan! I did end up ordering a small starbenza from Wilson combat yesterday, they're expecting a batch in the next week or two they said. Those things are really hard to come across! Can't get that thing soon enough! :cool:
 
I like the plain better myself. Both look great, but I don't care for the feel of cutouts on any knife.

How did you get a starbenza insingo? I wanted one but they were not available! I thought about contacting Crk to see if it was possible.

I will have both as soon as Wilson Combat sends me the starbenza! Why does it take so long!!! (I know why they take so long but come on, the waiting sucks!)
