Sebenza or...

So if I have chance to get xm-18 for Ricks price around 400$ what would you recomend 3 inch or 3.5.

That is entirely up to you & what you're looking for. I got the 3" because, 1. That's what was coming up in the production line-up & 2. I already have a ZT 0560 & other largish folders & only one small one (The small 21 Insingo).

The next run the Hinderer crew are making will be the XM-24. Think they said sometime at the end of August beginning of September.
I think you can still pick up a 3 inch from them directly. The 3.5 wont be in production for a while, or at least until the XM-24 run is over.

I've been using my small sebenza daily for a year on a construction site. It carries well, cuts sharp and its size handles most jobs my bigger blades such as previously owned Paramilitary can do. Sebenza is a good knife and worth the price once you break it in and past the small learning curve in taking it apart. I have an 3.5 XM 18 non-flipper, but its still NIB. Just haven't had the heart to use it. I'll probably use it soon.

Hey Davor do you think having a small sebenza and hinderer 3.5 is good enough for all the tasks in hand.Iam still hitting my head on the wall about how many knives I need,3,5,10 so maybe I should get xm-18 and relax for a while.

rex, the xm 3.5 is a big folder. I can't see carrying anything larger than a 3.5 on your work pants or shorts. The small sebenza is a perfect fit for any pants except a dress office suit where a mnandi is best.
To answer your question, a small sebenza and a xm 3.5 is all you need in your folder collection.

I ordered a Gareth Bull in M390 instead of a Sebenza. Haven't gotten it yet, but from all the feedback and pictures, it's gonna be great (and a custom is always better than a production knife, right?).

It is...if you paid more for it...

thanks to everyone for inputs, iam going for xm-18 and if I dont like it there is startac umnumzaan which is awesome knife.and then i allready ordered custom demko ad-10 in m390 which should be interesting blade.

Maybe a decade ago I saw the Sebenza and fell in love. Such clean lines and production quality. Bought a lefty. Then a decorated lefty. Then a Tanto (this didn't seem quite right.) Finally, one with micarta scales. My favorite is till the pain, large Classic. Three peices of elegant simplicity. I don't care if it doesn't cut as well as some or is a bit overpriced.

Not to say I don't love other knives --- I bought several customer folders and was mostly underwhelmed --- especially compared with the Sebbie. A wes crawford Kasper with stainless damascus was pretty nice but big/heavy. A Darryl Ralph was good looking but too thin a blade and not that sharp (he was just starting with tactical at the time lost likely) . And so it goes. For most, it's a business.

A Larry Harley pig sticker (8 inch blade . 0.25 stock, and double edged) was very nice and I used it in South Carolina to bag a 250lb Black Boar (under the left leg into the heart and instant kill --- we ate it and I mounted the head). My favorite fixed knife. Have pics and a video, too.

I had a Seb, great folder.
Try a Strider SnG. Really. I have SnG GG coming today.
