Sebenza Problem

I alternate between a Lg Sebenza and a Scott Cook Lochsa for EDC. I use the Sebenza when I know I might be doing a little more abusive jobs and the Lochsa the rest of the time. Its hard to find another knife that will come close to either of these.

:D

I alternate between a large classic Mayo'ed sebbie, a small regular one that I flamed myself (the colors are pretty cool) and a large regular that what was flamed tiger striped by a USN member...thanks if your reading this pal. Anyway, it looks like my large regular is going to be riding on my duty belt for work. Maybe it's time to save up and get me one of those pretty wood inlayed one....I understand your problem.

A friend gave me a large unique graphic sebbie a couple of years ago, but I find it too large for me. It's been living in the safe. Been looking at small ones for a loooong time, now. Finally broke down and ordered one, like slide13, from New Graham, also a silver thumb stud and spacer.

Oh. Wow.

I'm lost.

Scott, I am curious as to why you keep your knife in the left front pocket. Are you a leftie? Or is it because you keep keys and coins in your right pocket? Or perhaps another reason?

I feel your pain. Sebenza ARE quite addicting. Last year, I sold a matching set of Classic, customized Sebbies(large and small) to a friend of mine. Customized by the Reeve shop to include double blue thumbstuds, handrubbed flat surfaces and swedges. Makes these Sebbies particularly pointy(which is a good thing, IMHO). Just last week, I traded him back for them. I missed them that much. :)

I also own a large Sebenza and find it superb. Also I have been looking at a Lochsa, but, for me they are too much money. Also I simply don't want another custom folder (too long of a wait to get one, and too long of a wait for any repairs).

Don't get me wrong. The idea of a one piece titanium handle is very cool (except when it comes to cleaning, or dirt removal). I just find pure custom folders to be kind of a pain to own and use. The Sebenza seems to be a good mix of custom quality with production customer service and repair time.
