Just curious what people like. I prefer the double. Although I normally open it with my right hand. It's nice to have the option to use my left. Does anyone prefer the single? If yes, Why do you prefer it?

I prefer the single thumbstud. It's less things to get in the way while slicing, but also I really just like the look of the single thumbstud much more than the double thumbstud.

I prefer the double. You never know when your right / left hand will be busy.

No pun intended.

I don't really have a preference but I have noticed on some knives I carry that have studs on both sides I only use one. I'm left handed and I've found I never use the thumb stud on the other side of the blade. All my Sebbies have only one stud and I don't find an issue with it at all.

I think that dual studs give more symmetry to the look but I can see how the comment by an earlier poster about having less on the blade to get in the way would be more functionally important.

I'll stick with a single thumb stud.

I prefer the single because the double tears up my pocket and I also never have a reason to open my Seb with my right hand.

I carry a single. Reason for me is that when a double is carried in the back pocket (jeans), sometimes the seam of the backpocket can cause the blade to partiall open due to the inside thumbstud. result is a partially opened blade, and you might not know that. And with tip up, that could cause a cut. Ouch!

It's happened to me.:o

My Sebs (currently four) were either re-lugged with doubles by CRK or purchased that way. In part, for the reason above, but also because IMHO the knives just look better, more symmetrical. Not a big deal, but that's my preference.

Scott and Barry have the same experience as myself. I've had my double partially open when pulling out of the pocket and it tends to chew up the inside of the pocket seam. I carry right front pocket in jeans mostly.

I've opened my Seb with the left hand just for practice but it's so seldom that it's required a single is just fine. I wouldn't not buy one I liked because of a double, but given a choice, I'd buy single stud.

I am another user that prefers the single sided thumb stud, I find they pocket carry better.

Some of mine are double lugged and some are single. My EDC is double lugged and I carry it in a belt sheath. So, I am good either way.

I prefer single stud, and agree with all other single-studers said.

One more personal reason is that as a lefty, I have hard time finding knives I really like that's made with left hand use in mind. Most of my knives are fully ambidextrous and I'm happy with them, but it's kinda nice to have a fine knife exclusively for lefties. :D

Slider, you have the only double thumb stud CR knife I've ever owned:thumbup:. Take that back. My Umnumzaan came standard with a double:D. Really doesn't make any difference to me. But it does balance it out estheics wise. Enjoy that Sebbie it will serve you well for a long time:thumbup:.

Thanks I am really enjoying it. I'm keep looking around for mOre. I have the Umnumzaan and I find it hard to open with my left hand. But with that Sebbie you sold me it is a breeze.
Thanks again. I really love it. It's my first Sebenza but will not be my last
