Sebenza Tanto?

Is there anywhere I could buy a sebenza tanto or is this something that is special order only? or has it been discontinued? I tried searching but couldn't find any useful info. Please help.

The tanto sebenza were a special deal made for NICA the put out a run a few years ago of both small and large with bg-42 steel these are hard to come by especially the small ones. If you want one of these then you might want to check the for sale boards or put something in the wanted boards.

More recently another run of sebenza tantos (all large i believe) was also made for NICA. I believe Plaza Cutlery has one in stock and ive heard that these are top notch people to deal with.

That is a beautiful knife in the link but Id be looking for a small. Guess Ill have to keep checking the for sale threads. Was just curious about them. Thanks alot.

Just got lucky when I went into the knife store and found the tanto, but picked up the regular sebenza for edc. Sometimes I still use the tanto.
 
i'm ususally not a fan for the tanto shape, but i really like it on the Sebenza

i actually asked Anne about getting one special made with standard handles and no dice :(

my bro found a BG-42 one on that auction site a while back for $200

i hate him.
 
If memory serves me correct, the first NICA sebenzas were Bg-42 and were regular handle models. Then a smaller second run was made with the S30V blades with the regular handles. TNK now has the 21 handled model with S30V and the newer S35V. The new model is an exclusive for TNK.
 
The first run of Regular NICA Tantos had BG-42 steel, and were a limited run of 400
The second run of Regular NICA Tantos were S30V steel, and were a limited run of 200
You will rarely see them, but when you do, they will have "limited 200" or "limited 400" on the handle
There was a 21 Sebenza Tanto as well, but I prefer the regulars

Here's my large, I have passed on a few smalls as they are hard to come by NIB:

Just got a small tanto sebenza from Neil at TNK - great guy to deal with. Fast shipping, he has several in stock.
