Thank you all . I pimped that knife, the starting point is that one
I choose a ice blue for the anodization, because the thumbstud have already that type of color. The bentoxification, is something i apply on some of my blade or handle .
Alright...have to say that is really interesting. In a cool kinda way. The bluing I get...but how the heck did you get the Ti to turn out like that? Is that from a chemical treatment? Can't imagine that it was done by hand...it wasn't was it?
thank you
It's quite easy. A simple file to sharpen the chainsaw, and a cylindric carbide tungstene tool on a dremel. 45° for the file work on the "edge" of the plate. Each side of the plate edge and some little hit perpendicularly in order to make the junction between the two mark on each side.
After you use the carbide tungsten tool and use it as a pen, you use the point of the tool in rotation to mark deeply the material. And you try to alternate the direction of the mark.
The color is simply a torch anodization. That could have be realised with acid and electricity. The light is refracted differently in function of the ti oxyde depth. the heat or the electricity create a layer of ti oxyde. I use torch because the color is less "clean" and not the same everywhere .
Not my cup of thee, but it's all a matter of taste.
Must say it takes quite some nerve to put a Dremmel into a Sebenza with graphics.
Specialy when it's not your own.
