Sebenza usage

I am fairly new to CRK, I got my Large 21 at BLADE this year, and I was wondering what kinda stuff do you use your Sebenza or any CRK for? I ask because at first I wanted to baby my Sebenza but then I relized that not everyone had such an amazing cutting tool so I started to use it. I still haven't used it while backpacking but I will when I go on my next trip. I guess my main point is, show me some pics of your CRKs in use!

Thanks,
Matt

I don't have any pics of any CRKs after use, but for goodness sake use it. I use a LG 21 in the field and in my EDC rotation I carry a SM 21. If you beat it up, just send it to the spa. I have one there now being refurbished.
At first I babied them but then I realized that if I don't use and appreciate them, nobody else would. When I'm gone they'll probably just sit or be sold by someone that doesn't have a clue what they're worth.
So I'm using them.

Thanks for the response. I use my LG 21 but I don't want to accidentally void the warranty because it is kinda vague. When I use it in the field I will post pics.

You wont void your warranty by using it!

Sebenza means "work" for goodness sakes!

Put it to use as that is why it was made.

It is a highly refined cutting tool.

Being new to CR knives I havent had the time to gain many different experiences with it yet so I like your posed question.

Personally my favorite thing has been eating with it and Its been upgraded to my favorite steak knife, its the cleanest cutting knife Ive ever seen used far surpassing my 6-piece Case Knives set I used to use. *smiles*

I use mine for all my cutting and slicing tasks and it always goes hiking with me. Just dont pound it through a tree (use a fixed for that).

Use it like you would use a knife. If you want to baton rocks or throw it at trees, you might want to take a look at a fixed blade. As an EDC knife, the Sebenza is almost unparalleled.

...so I started to use it...

That's the spirit! Don't hesitate, especially while backpacking. Just remember the obvious- a knife is primarily a tool for cutting.

Use mine during it's turn in the edc rotation from cutting up packages, sharpening pencils to notching measurements in lumber and other stuff that comes up.

I use my small sebenza for all my cutting needs at work. The more I use it, the more I love it.

I use my CRK folders for pretty much everything. At work I use My Umnumzaan or Sebenza for things like pulling staples, trimming paper, opening packages, sharpening pencils and threatening my staff. At the weekends I use them during hikes and for bushcraft stuff like fire lighting, carving and even shelter building at times. If I'm staying away from home they get used for some light food prep. and the like. I have never had a problem with any CRK folder or fixed blade and don't really expect to either. :)

Thank you everybody for the comments! I love the Sebenza so much and when I hold it it just cries "use me". I got the feeling that it was more light use but know I see the light and mine will definitely get used a hell of a lot more now. I was thinking about getting a Large Insingo, how does that perform compared to the normal LG 21?

I love to use my sebenza. The way i see it is, it cost me a lot of money, that money would be a waste if i didn't use it. I love to use it on anything that needs to be cut, especially cardboard, now i'm talking big heavy duty cardboard boxes like bathtub boxes and other boxes from big things. I use it for food prep, packages, plastics, ect. I love my baby(sebenza), it's the most perfect thing in my life.

I carry an Umnumzaan religiously. Yesterday I cut a tarp I was replacing off a sand trailer. I cut the tape and plastic off the packaging for the new tarp rods. I keep it clipped in my pocket when under trucks and have laid in gravel and listened to it scratch it. I have stripped battery cables and wire. Very chip resistant. The heat treat can't be beat in my experience.
Use it!

I use my Sebenza for practically everything I run into that can utilize a knife.
